December 2015 Patents

Taylor IP obtains patents for U.S. and foreign clients pertaining to many different technologies.  Below are some patents that have been prepared and/or prosecuted by Taylor IP and recently issued by the U.S. Patent Office

Patents recently issued for clients of Taylor IP:

U.S. Patent No. 9,198,672, entitled “Dual reamer driver”, issued on December 1, 2015, is directed to the disclosure illustrates a dual driver for surgical reamers in which either of a crossbridge and crossbar style reamers are axially inserted in the distal end of a central shaft for the reamer driver. A pair of L shaped grips are adapted to connect and disconnect the different style of reamers by the movement of an external sleeve biased towards the connection position. Movement of the sleeve away from the distal end allows an internal plunger to cam the grips to an open position and urge the appropriate reamer from the tool driver directly in an axial direction.

U.S. Patent No. 9,202,366, entitled “Vortex cannon with enhanced ring vortex generation”, issued on December 1, 2015, is directed to a wireless communication system includes a hand-held transmitter for selectively transmitting at least one wireless signal, and a remote receiver unit including a remote receiver mounted to a strap and receiving the wireless signal. The remote receiver includes a sound generator which is actuated and volume adjusted using the hand-held transmitter, dependent on the wireless signal.

U.S. Patent No. 9,217,392, entitled “Wireless communication system for paging, locating and/or communicating with an object ”, issued on December 22, 2015, is directed to a vortex cannon based on pulse detonation engine comprises a combustion chamber, a fuel source, an oxidizer source, a purge gas source, a valve allowing delivery of fuel from the fuel source to the combustion chamber, a valve allowing deliver of either oxidizer or purge gas from the oxidizer and purge gas sources to the combustion chamber, an ignition source for the combustion chamber for initiating detonation of fuel and oxidizer, and a conical barrel outlet from the combustion chamber. The combustion chamber is configured for control over the detonation front. A control system provides for varying the rate and quantity of fuel and oxidizer injected to the combustion chamber for varying the frequency and strength of pulse generation. Ring vortices may be generated either in single pulses or at high rates of fire which maintain a consistent track.

U.S. Patent No. 9,222,211, entitled “Mixing chamber connecting system in a washing machine”, issued on December 29, 2015, is directed to a water inlet system for a washing machine including a main body, at least one insert and a valve assembly. The main body is made of a first material. The at least one insert is spin welded to the main body. The at least one insert is made of a material substantially the same as the first material. The valve assembly is mechanically coupled and sealed with the insert. The valve assembly has a valve body made of a second material, with the first material and the second material being different.

Please note that not all patents which have been prepared by Taylor IP actually issue with Taylor IP being listed as the responsible law firm/attorneys.  For example, some of the larger companies that are represented by Taylor IP prefer to list their inhouse personnel as the responsible legal professionals for their issued patents.  Thus, many patents that are prepared and/or prosecuted by Taylor IP do not appear with our name on the face of the patent.

Taylor IP has several patent attorneys with diverse and strong technical backgrounds.  Each patent attorney at Taylor IP has a specific technical background and a law degree, and most have industry experience in their respective technical field.  For example, our patent attorneys have technical backgrounds in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering and chemical engineering.  We represent some of the largest and most technologically advanced companies in the world, as well as mid-sized companies, small companies and individuals.  We receive patent work directly from US and foreign companies, through foreign patent law firms and attorneys representing foreign companies, through US domestic law firms and attorneys representing companies and individuals, and directly from individuals desiring to protect their inventions.
