Dr. John C. Grieger

Dr. John C. Grieger is currently qualified as a US patent attorney, and partially qualified as a European Patent Attorney. He spent 5 years working for a patent law firm on the west coast of the US, and has spent 9 years working for a patent law firm in Munich, Germany. John is from and grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He currently maintains a residence both in the US and Germany, and is thus able to uniquely assist clients with both a US and European presence.

Areas of Practice:

John has a PhD in physics and specializes in patent matters relating to electrical, electronics and software technologies. In the area of physics, John has particular expertise in plasma physics, electromagnetic theory, wave propagation, optics, semiconductor device physics, thermodynamics and computational physics. In the area of electrical engineering, John has particular expertise in signal processing, IC design, IC processing and communication systems.

During his career, John has drafted patent applications in a wide variety of technologies, including wireless communication systems, DSL technology, satellite positioning systems, antenna design, video conferencing communications, video gaming software, circuit design, semiconductor devices and integrated circuit processing, magnetic memory systems, packet transport and error correction techniques, hardware/software enabled signal processing, optics, nanotechnology and power systems. John has also drafted applications covering mechanical devices, such as fruit juicers, high pressure nozzles, weight scales, etc.
