Gary M. Gron was born in Cleveland, Ohio. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, in 1960 from the Case Institute of Technology in Cleveland. Gary also earned his J.D. degree in 1965 from Cleveland-Marshall Law School. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Gron completed a 37-year career in corporate patent law with GE, Avco Corporation, and 29 years managing the Cummins Inc. patent program. Areas of Technical Expertise are automotive technology, turbomachinery, engine design, filter design, filtration technology, machining methods, machinery, packaging, container closures, injection molding, plastic parts technology, farm machinery. Mr. Gron is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, is a registered professional engineer in the state of Ohio, and is a member of the Indiana bar and Ohio bar.

Gary has a BS in mechanical engineering and specializes in patent matters relating to mechanical and electro-mechanical technologies. Gary was Chief Patent Counsel for Cummins Engines (a Fortune 500 company) for more than 2 decades, where he had a particular emphasis in the internal combustion (IC) engine technologies. Gary’s advice is often sought by our inhouse corporate clients on dealing with and negotiating within the corporate environment. Prior to his Chief Patent Counsel position, Gary was an inhouse patent attorney with Avco-New Idea (farm equipment). He also has a very strong background in agricultural technologies.
