U.S. Patent No. 8,789,775, entitled “Method for refining aqueous suspended cellulose fibers and refiner fillings for carrying out said method”, issued on July 29, 2014, is directed to a method for refining aqueous suspended cellulose fibers including the step of guiding the fibers in an aqueous suspension between refiner fillings. The refiner fillings are provided with refining strips and interposed grooves and are located either on a rotor or a stator. The refiner fillings are caused to be rotatably moved relative to each other and pressed against each other, thereby transmitting mechanical a refining action to the cellulose fibers. The refiner fillings include barriers in at least part of the grooves, the barriers closing the grooves at least partially.
U.S. Patent No. 8,784,933, entitled “Device having reduced friction properties”, issued on July 22, 2014, is directed to a device, in particular a cover panel for a display device or a monitor auxiliary panel or a surface for input devices, includes a substrate and a coating applied onto the substrate. The coating has a surface having a coefficient of friction in the range between approximately 0.01 and 0.12, in particular between approximately 0.02 and 0.1, or between approximately 0.03 and 0.09.
U.S. Patent No. 8,784,615, entitled “Perforated film clothing having a tear-resistant edge”, issued on July 22, 2014, is directed to a clothing for a paper machine is configured as a film-shaped continuous band that is closed in the circumferential direction and that has a perforated useful area and at least one edge extending between the useful area and a lateral edge. The edge area has a perforation density lower than the perforation density of the useful area.
U.S. Patent No. 8,784,614, entitled “Sheet forming unit for producing a material web and method for operating the sheet forming unit”, issued on July 22, 2014, is directed to a sheet-forming unit of a papermaking machine includes a headbox which outputs a suspension jet and an inner fabric and an outer fabric, which in each case form a loop. A forming element is arranged within the loop of the inner fabric and guide rolls and a white-water box are arranged within the loop of the outer fabric. The inner fabric and the outer fabric form a gap for receiving the suspension jet and jointly wrap around the forming element at least partially in a wraparound region. A machine-wide guide element is arranged in the wraparound region within the loop of the outer fabric and/or, in the region of at least one of the guide rolls of the outer fabric, a machine-wide guide apparatus is provided outside the chamber which is formed by the loop of the outer fabric.
U.S. Patent No. 8,772,642, entitled “Control cabinet”, issued on July 8, 2014, is directed to a control cabinet includes at least two plate shaped elongated wall segments. At least one wall segment features at least one open-edged cutout. Edges of adjacent wall segments facing each other, adjoin each other, forming a seal. Each cutout is covered by a frame. The frame includes a plurality of grommets to accommodate cables. In an assembled state each frame is enclosed and each frame protrudes beyond the butt joint between adjacent wall segments, covering same.
U.S. Patent No. 8,764,937, entitled “Installation and method for conversion of paper residue into a mineral product”, issued on July 1, 2014, is directed to a method and apparatus for conversion of paper residue into a mineral product uses a fluidized bed device with a distribution plate for securing an even distribution and supply of at least combustion air to the bed material and to the paper residue. An air box below the distribution plate supplies combustion air to the bed material and paper residue above the distribution plate. A heat exchanging section receives in separate parts ambient air and flue gases from the fluidized bed device for exchanging heat between flue gases and ambient air. The heat exchanging section is connected to the air box for supplying the heated ambient air to the air box for use as combustion air. A control system is employed for controlling the amount of bed material and the dimension of its particles and is arranged to monitor and maintain a process parameter within a predefined range.
