Taylor IP obtains patents for U.S. and foreign clients pertaining to many different technologies.  Below are some patents that have been prepared and/or prosecuted by Taylor IP and recently issued by the U.S. Patent Office

Patents recently issued for clients of Taylor IP:

U.S. Patent No. 9,358,056, entitled “Orthopaedic implant”, issued on June 7, 2016, is directed to an orthopaedic implant system includes an orthopaedic implant implantable at a selected location within a corporeal body. The implant includes a first structural material and a second structural material. The first structural material is non-resorbable relative to the corporeal body and is different relative to the second structural material. The implant is an internal fixation device.

U.S. Patent No. 9,364,997, entitled “Device and method for producing fiber preforms”, issued on June 14, 2016, is directed to a method and a device for producing fiber preforms which are, for example, a precursor in the production of fiber reinforced plastic components, are disclosed. The method includes the steps of tensioning the threads or rovings, draping the threads or rovings over a molding tool and attaching the threads or rovings to a fiber preform. A plurality of separate grips grip individual or a plurality of threads or rovings at a plurality of thread transfer points allocated respectively to the individual grippers. The grippers are then moved in substantially parallel paths relative to each other and the threads or rovings are thereby tensioned side by side.

U.S. Patent No. 9,365,975, entitled “Press felt for a papermaking machine”, issued on June 14, 2016, is directed to a press felt includes a base structure providing dimensional stability in a machine and a cross machine direction of the felt, a batt fiber structure including batt fiber layers attached to the base structure which provide a paper contacting side and a machine contacting side of the felt. The base structure includes a first and second side. Polymeric beads or strands made from a polymeric material are arranged on at least one of the two sides of the base structure. The polymeric beads or strands arranged on the at least one side have a longitudinal expansion in the machine direction of the felt and are arranged side-by-side when viewed in the cross machine direction of the felt to generate space between adjacent beads or strands. At least one of the batt fiber layers is arranged to cover both the at least one side and the polymeric beads or strands thereon.

U.S. Patent No. 9,376,261, entitled “Expandable material mover with augers”, issued on June 28, 2016, is directed to a material moving apparatus includes a housing assembly with a central section and at least one wing section positioned on a lateral end of the central section that is movable toward and away from the central section; and an auger arrangement carried by the housing assembly having at least one auger that includes a plurality of auger shafts which are telescopically movable relative to each other and a plurality of flight sections that each have a first end and a second end. Each flight sections is rotated by a corresponding auger shaft and at least one of the flight sections is configured to slide its first end past a second end of another flight section without rotating as its corresponding auger shaft telescopically moves.

Please note that not all patents which have been prepared by Taylor IP actually issue with Taylor IP being listed as the responsible law firm/attorneys.  For example, some of the larger companies that are represented by Taylor IP prefer to list their inhouse personnel as the responsible legal professionals for their issued patents.  Thus, many patents that are prepared and/or prosecuted by Taylor IP do not appear with our name on the face of the patent.

Taylor IP has several patent attorneys with diverse and strong technical backgrounds.  Each patent attorney at Taylor IP has a specific technical background and a law degree, and most have industry experience in their respective technical field.  For example, our patent attorneys have technical backgrounds in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering and chemical engineering.  We represent some of the largest and most technologically advanced companies in the world, as well as mid-sized companies, small companies and individuals.  We receive patent work directly from US and foreign companies, through foreign patent law firms and attorneys representing foreign companies, through US domestic law firms and attorneys representing companies and individuals, and directly from individuals desiring to protect their inventions.
