Joseph S. Edelstein was born in Alton, Illinois on July 17, 1986. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and while attending Illinois worked as a medical equipment technician at a hospital. As a technician, his responsibilities included diagnosing and repairing medical equipment failure. Joseph obtained his law degree from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in Bloomington, Indiana. While attending law school, Joseph worked for Cook Medical’s in-house patent department and the Indiana University’s technology transfer office. Following law school, Joseph worked for a year in a private practice focusing on real estate and general litigation before joining Taylor IP in 2013.
