Patent Attorney

Todd T. Taylor was born in South Bend, Indiana. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tri-State University (ninth percentile) and thereafter worked for the U.S. Department of Defense as an engineer for approximately two years. While employed as an engineer, his responsibilities included the development and design of weapon systems for U.S. Special Forces, the design of electronic packaging assemblies and systems for onboard U.S. naval ship computers, and chairman of an I.E.E.E. working group on the next generation computer standards. Todd obtained his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Indiana University at Indianapolis, Indiana (twenty-first percentile).

Areas of Practice:

Todd has a BS in mechanical engineering and specializes in patent matters relating to mechanical and electro-mechanical technologies. He grew up on a farm, and he still has a very strong background in agricultural technologies. With his previous work designing weapons for US Special Forces, he also has a very strong background in weapons design technologies. His elective classes at the undergraduate level were focused on internal combustion (IC) engines, and he has always provided IP legal services in the area of IC engines. He also advises clients on matters relating to trademarks and copyrights.
