November Patents

Taylor IP obtains patents for U.S. and foreign clients pertaining to many different technologies.  Below are some patents that have been prepared and/or prosecuted by Taylor IP and recently issued by the U.S. Patent Office

Patents recently issued for clients of Taylor IP:

U.S. Patent No. 8,894,118, entitled “Gripper with cable synchronized jaw movement”, issued on November 25, 2014, is directed to a gripping device including a main body, a first elongate actuator, a second elongate actuator, a first jaw, a second jaw, a first pin, a second pin, a pair of pulleys, and a cable. The elongate actuators are both disposed in respective actuator bores within the main body and translate opposingly to each other. The jaws are both driven by a respective elongate actuator. The pins both include respective pin bodies defining a channel and are configured to drive their respective jaw by a respective elongate actuator and are disposed through transverse holes formed in the respective elongate actuator and a respective pin slot formed in the main body. The pulleys are attached to the main body. The cable forms a closed loop around the pulleys through the channels and is affixed to the first channel to inhibit relative movement between the first channel and the cable.

U.S. Patent No. 8,887,913, entitled “Grommet matrix”, issued on November 18, 2014, is directed to a dental case including a substrate having a plurality of holes therein and a grommet matrix. The grommet matrix including a plurality of grommets each having a groove. The plurality of grommets are interconnected outside of said groove and the plurality of grommets are located at predetermined positions corresponding to the plurality of holes.

U.S. Patent No. 8,887,670, entitled “Remote animal training system using voltage-to-frequency conversion”, issued on November 18, 2014, is directed to an animal training device and system which uses a voltage to frequency conversion technology (VFC) providing the capability to adjust in gradual incremental levels upward and downward for consistent and individual electronic control of separate output to an animal undergoing training to learn new behaviors which are desired by its owner/handler/trainer. The device is contained in a housing which is worn around the neck of an animal by means of a collar strap or attached to a harness that properly fits onto an animal. The primary use is with dogs, but all kinds of domestic animals may be trained using this device. This VFC technology is offered in a variety of electronic platforms. Whether one-way or two-way remote controller with manual activation by the user, automatic activation by remote sensor detectors, or automatically activated by an on-board microprocessor circuitry sensing the animals own actions, either or all device outputs allow the animal’s caretaker the unique capability to select an appropriate level of one of a variety of cue signals at a given moment allowing the animal not to be overwhelmed or to cause any over-reactions.

U.S. Patent No. 8,887,639, entitled “Inflatable bag with burst control envelope and gas generator”, issued on November 18, 2014, is directed to a rupturable bag assembly comprises an inflatable bag which parts at a target internal pressure to produce an acoustic shock wave having a minimum target noise level at a prescribed distance. The inflatable bag comprises inner and outer walls. The inner wall has greater elasticity than the outer wall. Both inner and outer walls are constructed from first and second disk shaped sections with the first and second sections being sealed along outside perimeters. The second section of the inner wall carriers a heat resistant shield on one face. An inflation port assembly provides a chamber for a fuel source and flame abatement elements between the fuel source and an inlet port to the rupturable bag.

U.S. Patent No. 8,887,413, entitled “Expanding material box for equipment”, issued on November 18, 2014, is directed to a material box can telescope between larger and smaller widths to accommodate legal requirements of traveling down the road, making traveling between job sites easier and safer than conventional, unadjustable material boxes. The material box can be used in a wide configuration to plow a wider area, such as empty parking lots, cutting down work time. When cars are present, the material box can be made narrow to accommodate for the vehicles while still being an effective material moving device.
