Patents recently issued for clients of Taylor IP:

U.S. Patent No. 9,670,813, entitled “Supply system for a medium into an exhaust system”, issued on June 6, 2017, is directed to the invention relates to a supply system for a medium, in particular for an exhaust-gas purification apparatus for the treatment of exhaust gases of an internal combustion engine, having a storage vessel for the medium, having a dosing device for dosing the medium, and having a provision line which comprises a feed line for the supply of the medium to the dosing device and a return line for returning the medium from the dosing device into the storage vessel. Flow can pass through the dosing device from a feed port to a return port of the dosing device. The provision line comprises an additional fluid connection between the feed line and the return line. The additional fluid connection opens out into the feed line upstream of the feed port of the dosing device and opens out into the return line downstream of the return port of the dosing device.

U.S. Patent No. 9,670,828, entitled “Mixture-charged gas engine and method for compensating for volumetric efficiency deviations in a mixture-charged gas engine”, issued on June 6, 2017, is directed to a mixture-charged gas engine includes at least one cylinder. A combustion chamber delimited by a cylinder head, a cylinder wall, and a piston, which can be moved in the cylinder, is arranged in the at least one cylinder, and the combustion chamber is divided into a main combustion chamber and at least one pre-chamber fluidically connected to the main combustion chamber via at least one firing channel. An air-/combustion gas mixture can be supplied to the main combustion chamber via an inlet valve during an intake stroke of the piston. The mixture-charged gas engine is characterized in that a separate combustion gas supply is provided for the at least one pre-chamber.

U.S. Patent No. 9,679,735, entitled “Travel lockout monitoring system”, issued on June 13, 2017, is directed to a vehicle system including a housing, an extendable/retractable member coupled to the housing, an electrically controlled actuator and a lockout system. The electrically controlled actuator is connected to the extendable/retractable member, and is configured to extend and retract the extendable/retractable member relative to the housing. The lockout system includes a detection sensor and a controller. The detection sensor generates a signal upon a detection of a motion of the vehicle system or an anticipated movement of the vehicle system. The controller is in commanding communication with the electrically controlled actuator, and the controller locks the electrically controlled actuator from functioning upon receipt of the signal.

U.S. Patent No. 9,681,906, entitled “Fixation of bone implants”, issued on June 20, 2017, is directed to an orthopedic implant system includes an orthopedic implant having an articulating component with an articulating surface and an interface surface opposed to the articulating surface, and a body component connected to the interface surface and having a bore formed therein, the bore having at least one lip; and an orthopedic screw connected to the orthopedic implant, the orthopedic screw including a main body having a torqueing end, an inner chamber formed therein, and at least two mating features separated by a separation gap, the separation gap extending into the inner chamber and at least one of the at least two mating features abutting against the at least one lip, and a support member removably placed in the inner chamber of the main body and having a support portion at least partially filling the separation gap between the at least two mating features.

U.S. Patent No. 9,681,966, entitled “Method of manufacturing a tubular medical implant”, issued on June 20, 2017, is directed to a method of manufacturing a tubular medical implant is provided. The method includes forming a hollow first tube with a first diameter and a first plurality of pores formed thereon and a hollow second tube with a second unstretched diameter and a second plurality of pores formed thereon. The second unstretched diameter is greater than the first diameter. At least a portion of the first tube slides within the second tube to create an overlapped area of the first tube and the second tube. The first tube and second tube are then bonded together in the overlapped area.

U.S. Patent No. 9,687,899, entitled “Device for forming metals”, issued on June 27, 2017, is directed to the invention relates to a device for processing a workpiece, said device including the following features: a punch on one side of the workpiece, a die on the opposite side of the workpiece, and a conductive electric heating system for generating an electric current that flows through the workpiece starting from a component situated on one side of the workpiece outside of the punch to a component situated on the opposite side of the workpiece outside of the die.

U.S. Patent No. 9,689,329, entitled “Method for failure detection of injectors in an internal combustion engine, control unit and system for carrying out a method”, issued on June 27, 2017, is directed to the invention relates to a method for detecting the failure of injectors in an internal combustion engine, comprising the following steps: measuring a crank angle signal; transforming the crank angle signal into the frequency range by means of a discrete Fourier transformation; switching off each injector once and in a sequential manner; detecting and storing an angle of the harmonic of the 0.5th order of the Fourier-transformed crank angle signal for each switched-off injector once and in a sequential manner; continuous detection and storage of an angle and an amount of the harmonic of the 0.5th order of the Fourier-transformed crank angle signal; continuous comparison of the continuously detected amount with a predetermined threshold value, and determining a failure of the injector when the amount exceeds the predetermined threshold value; comparing the continuously detected angle with the angles stored for each switched-off injector when a failure of the injector is detected, and identifying the failed injector with an injector, for which a matching, stored angle is found.

U.S. Patent No. 9,689,407, entitled “Hydraulic drive with rapid stroke and load stroke”, issued on June 27, 2017, is directed to a hydraulic drive including a first differential cylinder that includes a first and a second pressure chamber and a first piston that separates the first from the second pressure chamber and having two pumps delivering in opposite direction. The hydraulic drive further includes a second differential cylinder that includes a first and a second pressure chamber and a second piston that separates the first pressure chamber from the second pressure chamber, and a directional control valve that has a first and a second switching position. The pumps in the first switching position are respectively hydraulically connected via pressure chambers of the first differential cylinder that are different from each other and whereby the pumps in the second switching position are respectively connected via pressure chambers of the second differential cylinder that are different from each other.

U.S. Patent No. 9,689,427, entitled “Tilting pad and radial plain bearing”, issued on June 27, 2017, is directed to a tilting pad, preferably for a radial plain bearing which supports a shaft, with a spaced position in relation to a bearing axis and comprising a supporting surface and a bearing surface opposite the supporting surface, whereby the supporting surface is delimited in an axial direction by two lateral surfaces when viewed transversely, and in a circumferential direction by a run-in edge and a run-out edge when viewed in an installation position, and whereby structures aiding removal of lubricant and coolant are provided on the run-out edge; wherein the structures aiding removal of lubricant and coolant on the run-out edge comprise open-edged recesses arranged on the run-out edge spaced apart from one another in an axial direction.
