Taylor IP obtains patents for U.S. and foreign clients pertaining to many different technologies. Below are some patents that have been prepared and/or prosecuted by Taylor IP and recently issued by the U.S. Patent Office
Patents recently issued for clients of Taylor IP:
U.S. Patent No. 9,561,354, entitled “Drug delivery implants”, issued on February 7, 2017, is directed to an orthopedic implant system includes an external fixation device implantable at a selected location within a corporeal body and configured for delivering at least one therapeutic agent to the corporeal body. The external fixation device includes an implantable pin, a sheath coupled with the pin, a reservoir coupled with the sheath and a plurality of channels. The pin defines the plurality of channels. The reservoir is configured for receiving the at least one therapeutic agent. The plurality of channels are configured for conveying the at least one therapeutic agent from the reservoir to a treatment site relative to the corporeal body.
U.S. Patent No. 9,562,459, entitled “SCR-module”, issued on February 7, 2017, is directed to reciprocating-piston internal combustion engines having different power outputs are to be equipped simply, reliably and inexpensively with a device for the selective catalytic reduction of the exhaust gases having an SCR module for a reciprocating-piston internal combustion engine, comprising a housing and/or a frame, an exhaust-gas section which delimits a flow duct for guiding through exhaust gas, having an inlet opening for introducing the exhaust gas and an outlet opening for discharging the exhaust gas, an SCR catalytic converter which is arranged inside the flow duct, at least one injection element for adding a reducing agent, for example ammonia or a urea solution, to the exhaust gas which is guided through the flow duct. This problem is solved by virtue of the fact that the SCR module comprises at least one delivery device (13) for feeding the reducing agent to the injection element at a predetermined pressure.
U.S. Patent No. 9,568,342, entitled “Sensor component housing”, issued on February 14, 2017, is directed to a sensor component housing includes at least one tube section with a tube wall, wherein the tube wall has an opening and the tube section has a diameter and a first and second end. The first and/or the second end has tilted areas such that the diameter tapers to an end diameter toward the first and/or the second end of the tube section.
U.S. Patent No. 9,574,508, entitled “Method for operating an internal combustion engine”, issued on February 21, 2017, is directed to the invention relates to a method and an arrangement for operating an internal combustion engine. In the method a first distribution of values for at least one variable is used, the variable describing a physical property of the internal combustion engine, and over a second time period values for this variable are recorded and classified, such that a second distribution is determined. The first distribution is then compared with the second distribution such that the behavior of the internal combustion engine can be adapted on the basis thereof.
U.S. Patent No. 9,574,858, entitled “Inflatable bag with burst control envelope and gas generator”, issued on February 21, 2017, is directed to a rupturable bag assembly including a balloon, an outer wall, an inlet port, and a heat resistant shield. The balloon is fabricated from an elastic material. The outer wall is disposed around the balloon, the outer wall having a perimeter seam which parts abruptly at a predetermined tension. The inlet port passes through the outer wall into the balloon for inflating the balloon to produce the predetermined tension. The heat resistant shield is disposed within the balloon opposite the inlet port. The outer wall is constructed of a relatively inelastic material in comparison to the material used to construct the balloon. There is a dispersible medium disposed within the outer wall and/or the balloon.
U.S. Patent No. 9,578,856, entitled “System and method for preventing animals from approaching certain areas using image recognition”, issued on February 28, 2017, is directed to a system and method for preventing an animal being managed by a human from approaching a certain area using image recognition technology includes an apparatus put on the animal, and a marker having either a preset color or a preset shape or both and installed in the certain area. The apparatus put on the animal includes a camera to capture a ground surface image of a movement path of the animal, a stimulus applicator to apply a stimulus to the animal, a memory to store an image of the marker, and a control unit, and operates the stimulus applicator to apply a stimulus to the animal when an image matched with the image of the marker stored in the memory is recognized in the image captured by the camera as the animal moves.
U.S. Patent No. 9,585,268, entitled “Housing component”, issued on February 28, 2017, is directed to a housing component, for example a housing which accommodates electronics, such as a transmission control has a plurality of feedthroughs and a flatness zone. The housing component has a recess area in the region of the flatness zone. The housing component is reinforced through the recess and the flatness zone, which is disposed in the region of the recess, has a deviation from flatness of .ltoreq.0.1 millimeter (mm), for example in the range of 0.005 mm to 0.02 mm per 10 mm length.

Please note that not all patents which have been prepared by Taylor IP actually issue with Taylor IP being listed as the responsible law firm/attorneys. For example, some of the larger companies that are represented by Taylor IP prefer to list their inhouse personnel as the responsible legal professionals for their issued patents. Thus, many patents that are prepared and/or prosecuted by Taylor IP do not appear with our name on the face of the patent.
Taylor IP has several patent attorneys with diverse and strong technical backgrounds. Each patent attorney at Taylor IP has a specific technical background and a law degree, and most have industry experience in their respective technical field. For example, our patent attorneys have technical backgrounds in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering and chemical engineering. We represent some of the largest and most technologically advanced companies in the world, as well as mid-sized companies, small companies and individuals. We receive patent work directly from US and foreign companies, through foreign patent law firms and attorneys representing foreign companies, through US domestic law firms and attorneys representing companies and individuals, and directly from individuals desiring to protect their inventions.
